Symposium tackles issues in women’s athletics
Jenepher Shillingford admits that her collegiate coaching days are over. But as the keynote speaker at last Sunday’s first annual Women in Sports Symposium, she said that sports are always going to be a part of her life.
“There are a lot of ways you can give back to women’s athletics without coaching,” she said to a room of about 50 students, faculty and coaches. “I’m 76, and I’m going to stay involved until my last breath.”
